I felt left out when conversations came to talking about books so I decided to start reading again and blog my reviews of the books that I read. Before I knew it, I discovered a love for reading! So now I am broadening my horizon, one book at a time!

Last night my hubby and I watched the movie The Invention of Lying via DVD and a thought came to mind ... This would be an interesting book ...which led me to wonder... Are there books based on movies? I'm a recent bookworm so I haven't come across any (I think) that was a movie first before the book.
I'm curious ... does anyone know of any book that was a movie first? If so, which ones and what are your thoughts on it. Usually (speaking of book to movie), I find the book version better than it's film adaptation. I'm curious how it is on the flip side. ~Thanks.
Play the video for the blurb ... intriguing. ~I would give this movie 3.5 stars.
I think they do sometimes have book based off of movies, but they are novelizations of things that happened in the movie. I don't think they actually change anything. They do have series like Star Wars that have novelizations of other characters or themes in the movies.
This is such a clever, funny movie, isn't it? Hardly anyone's seen it though, making it a sweet little gem. As for movie-to-book adaptations, I only know of novelizations--basically the movie retold in as few words as possible ;) Good question, though. I wonder...
Great question! I've wondered this myself.

ReplyDeleteThe movie Red Riding Hood just hit theaters. The novel that is also in stores right now is based on the screen play.
