"We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed" 2 Corinthians 4:8-9No doubt everyone goes through trials. It's part of life. How we deal with them is the key. Think about the attitude the saints in the above scripture verses possessed.

This is a good scripture to ponder. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLovely choice of Scripture - I felt a sense of calm. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks also for reading between the lines about my comment about Patterson. The $oul of his writing is money. Thanks for the link...there's another rather like him, Baldachi who lives in Western Virginia, a few hours drive from me. He openly employs writers to write for him, pays salaries (not all that great, I've heard) and so on, then rake$ in the credit.
Well, I usually write stories about growing up on the family farm in Louisiana. However, that farm is just outside the flood zone as there's a westward loop. The Morganza Spillway is just 35 miles north. Since I'm kinda distracted by this and couldn't get my head around tra-la-la stories when so many are hurting, I jumped at the chance to join Romantic Friday Writers, a fest Denise and Francine started about two weeks ago. Each Friday (or whenever one chooses, there's nothing firm here) one writes flash fiction up to 400 words (a bit of cheating allowed to 425, but no more)...it can also be a poem, anything with a romantic theme, but no dirty stuff. I'm not a romance writer by even my stretch of imagination. However, I am having fun losing myself in Yvette's situation - more importantly, learning how do write tighter. If you'd like to jump in, just go to the link on my post and click on over. It's a really fun, very kind group I think you'd enjoy.
i so agree... :)
