"No longer accepting book review requests"
Life throws curve balls and those moments make review commitments difficult to meet. I've been fortunate so far that the authors have been understanding and allowed me to change review dates when those moments happen around review times.
I'm tired though. I'm booked through October with book reviews and I'm afraid I'm spreading myself thin. Hence, I've decided to cease accepting anymore book review requests. I'm saddened by this because I like helping indie authors. I've discovered some awesome books!
In lieu of review, I will offer a spotlight feature I call, "Author-Book Profile".

DeleteI'll have my friend Rose check out your Author-Book Profile feature. She's about to have a book published that she's been working on for the past five years. With no budget for advertising, she can use all the help she can get!
ReplyDeleteI used to think that reviewing books might be enjoyable, but these days I think I'd find it too exhausting and wouldn't be able to give the writers a fair shake. Maybe you'll feel up to it again in the future!

DeleteYou have to do whatever it takes not to burn out! August is actually the first month I haven't read a book. I hope to get back to reading next month!
