I felt left out when conversations came to talking about books so I decided to start reading again and blog my reviews of the books that I read. Before I knew it, I discovered a love for reading! So now I am broadening my horizon, one book at a time!

Actually it's been a couple days passed a week but I didn't get to post this in time. Anywho, I'm having fun playing with my Kindle especially browsing through the top 100 free Kindle books. More importantly, reading from an e-reader is not as bad as I thought it'd be. It's quite portable, user friendly, and great for night reading (I don't have to disturb hubby dear by turning on my nightstand lamp; the Kindle's adjustable light provides excellent illumination). Oh, and I was able to transfer my pdf books to it! I was so jazzed about that! However, as great as it is, I'm still a big fan of printed books. The comfort of being able to flip through the pages quickly, bookmark, and overall sensory aspect of print ..smell, touch, see ..is unmatched. Also, for review purposes, a printed version allows easier access to reference back ..as least in my case since I haven't utilize the bookmarking feature and such on the Kindle.
Well, here's my Kindle book loot and adventures thus far ...
I remember really wanting to get a Kindle Fire when it first launched. But after discovering I can use basically any other tablet for reading ebooks simply by installing the Kindle app, I'd decided to wait for the Asus Memo 370T instead. Also, I already own a Kindle 3 (which I love by the way) and I use my Blackberry Kindle app for freebie grabbing purposes.
I have my Kindle for two months now and I had only great experiences with it. I love everything about it, especially that I can read my eBooks downloaded from All You Can Books. Also it has so many other useful information and I can take it wherever I travel, because it's so small and portable... exactly as my bag.
That's an awesome haul of books. I love finding great freebies for my Kindle.
ReplyDeleteinteresting post - I am still stealing my daughter's KIndle but the lamp is a great feature - visiting from the A-Z challenge
