G is for God

atoz2012
My A to Z blogging theme is characters in (people from) the scriptures. Since my blog is a book blog, this theme would fit right in and help me strengthen a weakness at the same. How fantastic is that?!  This challenge is a blessing. Thank you A to Z Challenge team!  *Book: LDS quad combo scriptures: KJV Holy Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants, Pearl of Great Price. (p)1989, (c)1979.

I can't seem to put to words what I feel right now. There's a heaviness in my chest and I'm trying to blink back tears with no avail.  God is such a powerful existence in me and I'm in deep loss for words to describe how loved I feel at this very moment.  I am reminded that I am a daughter of God and that tells me that I am someone important and that my life counts.  That includes all of you my dear brothers and sisters.

God is generally referred to as the head member in the godhead (Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost), three separate and distinct beings with one purpose.  Given the gift of the Holy Ghost, I have a constant spiritual companion for revelation and confirmation of what is true, good, and of God.  Jesus Christ is my merciful brother, exemplar, redeemer, and mediator who advocates for my spiritual progress and success.  Heavenly Father is the deity that I want to come home to.  Together, their purpose is "For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." (Moses 1:39).  ~Go HERE for Bible Dictionary definition of God.

Now I'd like to share a peace of heaven with you.  Please listen and the Holy Ghost will confirm that God lives, loves us, and has not forsaken us.  ~I love you my dear friends. God bless!  :)

Heavenly Father, are you really there?
And do you hear and answer ev'ry child's prayer?
Some say that heaven is far away,
But I feel it close around me as I pray.

Heavenly Father, I remember now
Something that Jesus told disciples long ago:
"Suffer the children to come to me".
Father, in prayer I'm coming now to thee.

Pray, he is there. Speak, he is list'ning.
You are his child; His love now surrounds you.
He hears your prayer; He loves the children.
Of such is the kingdom, the kingdom of heav'n.
