Six Word Saturday: Thank You

(click on image to join the fun)

"THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND WORDS"

I truly appreciate those of you who offered your prayers and condolences, whether through comments or silently.

The funeral for my nephew-in-law was lovely.  I hadn't realized he left a ten year old daughter so I felt for her the most.

My sister's funeral will be this coming Friday.  I suspect I'm going to have a rough time then.  Up to this point it doesn't feel real so I suspect it will be then.  Don't worry.  We know she's in a good place now and we'll see her (and him) again.  It's comforting this Easter season to know that because of Him we can live again ...

Again, my sincere gratitude,

Six Word Saturday: Loved Ones Passed On

(Click on image to join the fun!)

"TWO RELATIVES PASSED ON THIS WEEK"

My husband and I each lost a loved one from each side of our families this week.  Coincidently both passed on this Tuesday.

I will miss my sister (my sister's sister-in-law, but we consider ourselves sisters too) greatly.  She suffered a heart attack last Saturday and didn't recover.  Her battle with muscular sclerosis has finally ended at 52.  She was a beautiful person.  She was genuinely kind and family oriented.  Her smiles so bright and hugs so warm.  My kids lost an awesome aunt.  I love you, L.

I don't know much about my nephew-in-law.  The true details of his passing has not filtered in to us yet.  But certainly young at 32 to pass on.  My heart especially goes out to my sister-in-law.  I can imagine how heart wrenching it must be to bury your own child.

We are sad that we will no longer see our loved ones in this earthly life but find comfort that they are at peace in the spirit world learning more about the plan of happiness and that one day we will be reunited with them in due time.

I'm glad that these past few days of the A to Z challenge were pre-done so there have been posts here.  However, I haven't been able to reply to the comments lately, I apologize.  I will get to them.

Funerals next week so next week might be different here.  The posts might be late, too dry, or none at all.  But it could also be lively in recognition or celebration of life.  Either way, now you'll have a good idea of why.

Hug your love ones now and tell them that you love them.  Do this often.

Six Word Saturday: No Longer Accepting ...

(Click on image to join the fun!)

"No longer accepting book review requests"

Life throws curve balls and those moments make review commitments difficult to meet.  I've been fortunate so far that the authors have been understanding and allowed me to change review dates when those moments happen around review times.

I'm tired though.  I'm booked through October with book reviews and I'm afraid I'm spreading myself thin.  Hence, I've decided to cease accepting anymore book review requests.  I'm saddened by this because I like helping indie authors.  I've discovered some awesome books!

In lieu of review, I will offer a spotlight feature I call, "Author-Book Profile".

"SO HAPPY FOR BFF, SHE'S PREGNANT!"

I'm thrilled beyond words. She's gone through so much.  She'll be a super awesome mommy!  Please pray for a safe pregnancy for her.  Thanks a bunch!

Six Word Saturday: San Francisco...

(Click on image to join the fun!)

San Francisco Here We Come, YAY!

Yep, my cute little family leave for San Francisco tomorrow for our "big" summer vacation.  I'm so excited!  However, this is our first very long drive with the kids so I might be singing a different tune later.  That said, suggestions for a fun-smooth drive are welcomed.

Oh, other than the obvious, Golden Gate Bridge/Alcatraz/Lombard St., know of other attractions that we should visit?

Bummer that I get nauseous while reading in motion or I'd get a lot of reading done!  Maybe I'll try Playaway digital audio ...just don't know how well it'll work with kids' DVD movie noise in the back and hubby's radio at the front.  Perhaps I can get the kids to wear headsets/earphones.

Let me know if you join this meme so I'll be sure to swing by ..or you can leave your six words in the comment.  :)
