Cover Reveal: Reaping Me Softly by Kate Evangelista

I'm honored to present to you a cover reveal of Reaping Me Softly, a YA paranormal romance novel by Kate Evangelista due to be released October 30, 2012.  I absolutely loved Taste and so I'm eager to read another of Ms. Evangelista's book.

Simply beautiful!  I love the color scheme and the scene.  Certainly invites me to check out what's inside.  I can't wait to read it!!  Aaahhhh!!!

Visit the event host, AToMR Tours, for more details.

Ever since a near-death-experience on the operating table, seventeen-year-old Arianne Wilson can see dead people. Just as she’s learned to accept her new-found talents, she discovers that the boy she’s had a crush on since freshman year, Niko Clark, is a Reaper.

At last they have something in common, but that doesn’t mean life is getting any easier. All while facing merciless bullying from the most powerful girl in school, Arianne’s world is turned upside down after Niko accidentally reaps the soul of someone she loves. This sends them both into a spiral that threatens to end Arianne’s life. But will Niko break his own Reaper’s code to save her? And what would the consequences be if he did?

Have A Little Faith -Movie Tie-In Sampler

I was on my Kindle yesterday browsing for a freebie and came across this.  I love Mitch Albom books so I was super uber giddy!  I thought it included the book but it's just a sample of the movie tie-in and such (it does give a bit of a preview read of the book).  Still pretty neat to have so I'm sharing the special find.  Looking forward to the movie!  Anyway, get the ebook HERE.

"The Not So Secret Emails of Coco Pinchard"

by Robert Bryndza, AF, 2012, ebook, 250p, rating=3.5
Source:  purchased
Content: moderate adult language and sexual context

Where Bridget Jones left off... Coco Pinchard picks up.
Coco was never a single thirty-something. She married young, had a son, and put her dream to be a writer on hold.
Now her first novel is published. Husband Daniel has greyed nicely into a silver fox, and son Rosencrantz is grown up. It should be time to enjoy life.
That is until the annual family Christmas with her hideous mother-in-law Ethel, and Coco opens her gift from Daniel. It’s not the jewellery she chose, but an iPhone. This marks the start of Daniel’s mid-life crisis and she catches him in bed with a younger woman.
The iPhone becomes a confessional of sorts, through emails to her friends Chris, an ageing trustafarian and Marika a slightly alcoholic schoolteacher.
Then she meets the hunky Adam and she’s back in the world of dating as a single forty something...
Read the emails which tell the hilarious tale of Coco picking up the pieces. (Amazon)

I misread the blurb and thought it was about an iPhone being the culprit to the finding out about the affair.  Thinking that, I jumped at the invitation by the author's partner to read it.  See, a friend is currently going through a marriage mess and she says that the iPhone played a big part in said mess.  I was curious what this book had to say and perhaps get some insights for my friend.  Well, it was totally different from what I thought so it didn't relate to her situation afterall.  Oops!

This book was HILARIOUS!!  A British humor that continuously tickled my funny bone.  I suspect I would be laughing even more if I understood some of the British terms/culture but, even so, I got the gist and I was rollin'!!  So if you need a laugh, then here's your next book to read.  Quirky-captivating characters, good writing, lighthearted but tender storyline, and downright side-splitting.  A very entertaining read.  Thanks Mr. Bryndza!

This would be fun to see in film.
